Who We Are

Current Members

Maggie Symington
Maggie is the Director of the group, which she started in 2014. She has been singing in various types of groups since grade school, but her favorite is women’s a cappella - she was in her college’s group, before it was “cool,” and she led the Treblemakers in London in the early 2000s. She is retired from paid work, and is an active volunteer in the community.

Jackie Bowser
Jackie joined Rocappella mid-pandemic, in September 2020. Jackie is currently a 5th grade teacher in Pittsford, but has been an elementary teacher and K-12 technology teacher in Illinois and Northern Virginia before moving to Webster in 2018. Jackie is married to Michael, a Rochester area native, and a mom to Meghan, Link (a cockapoo), and Runner (the same turtle she's had since she was 10)!

Emily Brodhead
Emily joined Rocappella in the Spring of 2016. She performed in her college a cappella group or on stage in musical theater. Emily worked as a Project & Account Manager at various marketing agencies for over a decade. Most recently, she traded the spreadsheets for sippy cups and took a career hiatus to raise her young sons. They have proven to be very demanding clients, and she is up for the challenge!

Sarah Casper

Sarah joined Rocappella in the Spring of 2025. She is an Anatomy/Physiology Professor at St. John Fisher University with multiple adjunct positions at area colleges and per diem PA positions at area hospitals. She also performs with Concentus Women's Chorus and Rochester Rhapsody.

Caroline Hill
Caroline is in the financial services industry and has had a lifelong love of music. She joined Rocappella in 2018 and is thrilled to bring joy to those who need it! She is a proud dog momma to a beautiful lab, Sassy, and ventures around the city with her husband, Stephen.

Rebecca Kemp *
Rebecca is a music teacher at Barker Road School in Pittsford where she teaches general music, chorus, and vocal directs the school’s musical. Rebecca has been a member of Rocappella since 2017. She also performs with Concentus Women’s Chorus and serves on their board of directors.

Suzanne McMillan
Suzanne joined the group in January 2022, and she works at RIT.

Lisa Miller
Lisa Miller has been singing with her Rocappella sisters since 2014. She is married and a mom to three grown children. She is a Director of Full Circle Home -a nonprofit organization supporting military families. Lisa loves spending her time off at her camp in the Adirondacks.

Monika Reifenstein
Monika joined Rocappella in fall 2016. She currently works at the ESL Foundation. In addition to singing with Rocappella, Monika is part of Concentus Women's Chorus and the Madrigalia Festival Singers. Monika is passionate about social justice and how it intersects with media and the entertainment industry.

Bonnie Reigelman
Bonnie has been with Rocappella since its beginning in 2014 and enjoys singing with actual people, instead of just in the car/shower. Bonnie works at the Trillium Health as a Supervisor of Care Coordination, supporting Care Management staff to connect community members with well-being resources. Besides singing and working, she enjoys being in nature, traveling, various arts and crafts mediums, owning "too many" cats, and being a supportive partner and mom of two.

Bri Vespone
Bri has been singing with Rocappella since the Fall of 2017. During the day, she works as a human resources specialist and then heads to teach her fitness classes in the evenings. When she's not working, teaching, or singing, Bri goes home to take care of her husband and four fluffy cats, all of whom are named after Game of Thrones characters.
