Who We Are

Current members include:

Maggie Symington
Maggie is the Director of the group, which she started in 2014. She has been singing in various types of groups since grade school, but her favorite is women’s a cappella - she was in her college’s group, before it was “cool,” and she led the Treblemakers in London in the early 2000s. She is retired from paid work, and is an active volunteer in the community.

Jackie Bowser
Jackie joined Rocappella mid-pandemic, in September 2020. Jackie is currently a 5th grade teacher in Pittsford, but has been an elementary teacher and K-12 technology teacher in Illinois and Northern Virginia before moving to Webster in 2018. Jackie is married to Michael, a Rochester area native, and a mom to Meghan, Link (a cockapoo), and Runner (the same turtle she's had since she was 10)!

Emily Brodhead
Emily joined Rocappella in the Spring of 2016. She performed in her college a cappella group or on stage in musical theater.  Emily worked as a Project & Account Manager at various marketing agencies for over a decade. Most recently, she traded the spreadsheets for sippy cups and took a career hiatus to raise her young sons. They have proven to be very demanding clients, and she is up for the challenge!

Pamela Danger
Pamela moved to Rochester TWICE! Born and raised in Chicago. Pamela studied voice at Triton College and the Chicago Conservatory of Music, and she joined the group in late 2014. Pamela is an active volunteer and shares the love of food, wine, cooking and entertaining as well as travel with her husband Reinhard. She is the proud mother to Anastasia Verno and grandmother to Ayla Jo. La familia!
